Start of a Story

The rat-tat-tat of the helicopters rotor blades scattering the humming birds across the as though someone had thrown a handful of jewels into the air. Jack watched as the stretcher was carried across the lawn. The man lying on it had been bitten by so many insects that his face was puffed up like a toads. His skin was an angry copper colour, and it was peeling away in little patches.

"It took us a week to find him," said, Jordan. "He strayed off the path in to the jungle. That is forbidden of course. It is so easy to get lost."

"Does this happen a lot?" asked, Jacks mother. Jordan smiled.
"No it's only the third time since i've worked here. He saw an armadillo so he followed. A very foolish thing to do."
The man in the stretcher let out a brief cry of pain as he was loaded into the helicopter.

Holiday Recount

My Week Helping Out At Holiday Club

In the first week of the holidays I helped out at my churches holiday club. I taught 6 and 7 year olds. The theme this year was "Rocking All Over the World" so for a week we flew to different places (on  a fake plane of coarse), played games, we also sang songs and did a little bible study/activity.

We had morning tea provided for us and the food was delicious. We had about ten Children in our group they were very quiet and good at art. On the last day which was Friday we went to England to visit the queen who was actually one of our cooks Rosemary but the children didn't need to know that. I enjoyed the first week of my holidays it was fun and memorable.

Scary Story

The door slowly opened and a person with a black ski mask and a bloody knife walked in. As I had a second to think of what was happening, I realized my flatemate must have been stabbed. So I open my sidetable draw and pulle out a fully loaded gun, then I fire three shots to their head. Meanwhile I hear my flatmate gasping for air. I ran as fast as I could to the phone. An ambulance was there within a matter of minutes. As i'm retracing what happened I realize it was just my imagination.

my poem

My Magic Box

I will put in my box

A book with a secret name that is unknown,
A mouthful of the whitest shimmer from the sparkling sea,
A flying spark from a scaly dragon.

I will put in my box

Seven silver wishes spoken in Swahiti,
The last cry from the ancient dragons,
The first word from the modern world.

I will put in my box

A 13th month, unlucky for some,
A golden moon and a silver sun,
A blue beach and a yellow sea.

My box is fashioned from
Fire, silk and air, with magic on the lid and hope in the corners, its hinges are wing joints of unicorns.

I shall ride in my box, on the great winged horses, of the foreign lands, then ride ashore on luscious green grass the colours of the mighty dragons, that once lived on earth.

5 Minute Write

Quick Write

The waves roll in on her hooves. Her silky black coat glistens in the sunlight. As a warm breeze sweeps her mane back she gallops on. Waves can be heard lapping against the rocks in the background.

" I wonder what she is running from, and where she will go to? "

By Sophie

Where Am I ?

Where Am I ?

The waves are clapping against the rocks like a roaring crowd

As the sunset reflects off the shimmering water, the day slowly comes to an end

The sun tries to sneak through but the night clouds are to strong

Night is near I feel the air cooling down
