My Speech
In Rimu Class we have been writing speeches, my topic was 'High School Students Should Not Have Homework'. I enjoyed writing this speech because I found out a lot about it. Next time I would look more into my topic and get more information. I think that High school students would be better off without homework because after school they would be able to spend more time with their families, rather than be in their room doing work.

Our Everyday Hero!
Rimu have just finished making their digi awards. Morgan and I chose the Ripple Effect; it was hard to choose an everyday hero but we got there in the end. I learnt how to add music of your own in and cut videos. If I did it again I would make the video a bit longer and put more detail in. Here is mine and Morgan's, hope you enjoy.

School Ski Trip!
On Friday 28th of August, Rimu, Kauri and Totara took a bus up to Mt Hutt Ski Field. The bus ride up there was fine, up until about halfway up the mountain the clutch went and we were stuck on the bus; the driver tried rolling the bus backwards and the putting it into gear but it wouldn't work. Every time we rolled backwards people squealed. About 5 minutes later there were two other buses up the mountain and they were kind enough to take us up the rest of the way. It was a very intense morning.
Once we got up to the ski field we got our gear (boots, skis, poles and helmets) and most of us went for a quick ski down the Magic Carpet (the beginners slope) to refresh our minds on how to ski. The quad is the next level up kind of like intermediate. Also it's very slow going up which is frustrating because all people want to do is get up there and ski.I spent most of my time skiing down the quad with the boys because I couldn't find anyone else.
Friday was a fun day and I enjoyed it quite a lot. Next year when I go skiing I am going to try and go down Summit Six which is the very top slope.
